What to Bring and What Not to Bring
-
Lunch Box: Please send a lunch box clearly marked with your child’s name. We encourage healthy choices such as cheese, fruit, vegetables, pretzels, and sandwiches. Drinks may include water, juice, or milk—soft drinks are not permitted. We will refill water bottles with water as needed.
-
Children will need a morning snack and a lunch. We can re-heat lunch items, however timing cannot exceed 1 minute.
-
Backpack: A large, full-size backpack labeled with your child’s name is needed to carry their lunch box and Home Folder to and from school.
-
Clothing: Dress your child in comfortable clothing that allows for free movement. Fitted skirts, dresses, and dress shoes are not suitable for everyday wear. Comfortable, safe shoes are required—no flip-flops. Shoes should have an ankle strap for safety.
-
A change of clothes needs to be kept inside your child's bag at all times, to include pants, shirt, socks, and underwear.
-
Toys & Personal Items: Please do not send toys, candy, gum, money, play knives or guns, sharp objects, or valuables to school. Items brought for Show-and-Tell should be sturdy, non-valuable, and easy for other students to handle. Your child’s teacher will notify you of scheduled Show-and-Tell days.
-
Jewelry: Jewelry can become a distraction or safety hazard. Please save jewelry for home or for Show-and-Tell days.
