What to Bring and What Not to Bring
• A lunch box marked with your child's name. We suggest you send healthy choices for their lunch (cheese, fruit, vegetables, pretzels and sandwiches). Please send water, juice, or milk for their drinks. Do not send soft drinks. When the weather is hot, you may want to send in more than one drink.
• A large/full-size backpack with your child's name on it is needed to carry their lunch box and Home Folder to and from school.
• Dress your child in comfortable clothes that he or she can move around in easily and not be hindered by. Fitted, trim skirts/dresses and dress shoes are not appropriate for everyday. Comfortable shoes are a must. No flip-flops. Shoes need to have an ankle strap for safety reasons.
• Do not bring toys, candy, gum, money, play knives or guns, any overly sharp objects, or valuables to school. It is best to leave these items at home or in the car. Items brought for Show-n-Tell should not be overly valuable or delicate as they will be viewed and handled by the other students. (The teacher will notify the parents of Show-n-Tell days.)
Please no jewelry. Most jewelry becomes a distraction or hazard as the day progresses. Save it for Show-n-Tell or for wearing around the home.
