Welcome: 2 Year Old Classes
Ms. Kathryn Rohrer
Younger 2's Lead Teacher

Ms. Kathryn comes to us from Peoria, IL, from a family of five. She has an awesome husband, Scott, and a beautiful daughter, Lydia, and one fur baby. She graduated in 2004 and trained in Early Childhood Education because of her love of working with kids. Ms. Kathryn has 10 years of childcare experience and has been with My First School for the past 3 years. She has worked with many different age groups, but has found a love for the 2's and continues as our younger 2's Lead Teacher. She also cares for the kiddos in the afternoon with Little Blessings.
Ms. Megan Leonard
Older 2's Lead Teacher

Ms. Megan graduated from UNC Charlotte with a Bachelor's degree in Education, specializing in Literacy & Language Arts. She began teaching in her early twenties, working with infants and toddlers at ChildTime in upstate New York. After relocating to Charlotte, she continued in Early Childhood Education as a Pre-K Teacher at La Petite Academy in Matthews and The Sunshine House in Mint Hill. After receiving her degree, she taught 6th, 7th & 8th grade students in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. Although she enjoyed working with middle school-aged children, she missed the unconditional love and boundless curiosity of the younger students she taught in the preschool setting, which is why she is so excited to join our team at My First School. She has a 7-year old son, who graduated from My First School and continues to attend Ms. Dee Dee's Afterschool and Summer Camp. In her free time, she loves to read books on all topics, bake sweet treats, and go on adventurous travels!
Ms. Kelly Romano
Younger 2's Teacher Assistant

Ms. Kelly was born and raised in Goldsboro, NC and moved to Lake Park with her husband in 2019. She has worked with children for 15 years, most recently as a Nanny. She has worked as an after school/summer camp counselor, art teacher, birthday party specialist, and Assistant Education Director of a non-profit. Ms. Kelly earned a Bachelors degree in Family and Child Development and an Associates in Art and Painting from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She has a passion for developing leadership in youths and uses her skills in athletics and the arts to support her goal.
Ms. Rochelle Lalley
Older 2's Teacher Assistant

Ms. Rochelle joins us for her first year at My First School. After 20 years as an RN in LDRP (Labor and Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum), she decided it was time for a change. She has three children; 19, 17, and 3 years old, who all attended or are currently enrolled in the My First School program. She is excited to start this journey of teaching the little ones and wouldn't want to be anywhere else!
