Ms. Tina Kelly
Lead 4-year-old Teacher
and Curriculum Coordinator
Ms. Tina has been with us for almost 10 years as a lead 4-year-old teacher as well as our curriculum coordinator. Ms. Tina has over 25 years of experience in teaching preschoolers. She has two grown children whom she loves to spend time with, as well as her husband.
Ms. Melissa Root
4's Teacher Assistant
Ms. Melissa joined our My First School team last school year as a teacher assistant, after previously working as a graphic designer for 10 years. She has been part of our family for several years as a parent. Her oldest son is a graduate of our program, and now her two younger daughters are happily learning here as well. She loves working with the four-year-olds and has such a joy for helping them learn and grow each day. Ms. Melissa enjoys going to concerts, crafting, and taking family trips in her spare time.
Ms. Kristy Shult
3's Lead Teacher
Ms. Kristy joined My First School family a four years ago. She moved to North Carolina from Arizona four and a half years ago with her family. Before joining out team, she stayed home to care for her two children, until her youngest was ready to start preschool. Prior to relocating, Ms. Kristy worked for an engineering firm for nearly ten years. Outside the classroom, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and loves traveling; whether by car, plane, or boat.
Ms. Charlise Huntley
3's Teacher Assistant
Charlise Huntley joined My First School 3 years ago as a three year old teacher and has now moved to our 4 year old class. She is a retired UCPS teacher who loves helping littles grow and learn. She has 2 adult children and 4 grandchildren. Her hobbies include crocheting and reading suspense novels.
