Ms. Andi Matysek
4's Lead Teacher - TK
Ms. Andi is a retired elementary teacher who loves kids. Since she retired from teaching at UCPS in 2018, she has continued to hone her skills as an independent tutor and preschool assistant here at My First School. After considering Mr. Mark's offer, she is delighted to get back in the classroom as a Lead Teacher in the 4's classroom. In her spare time, she loves to camp with her husband, sew for her side business, attend craft shows, and read with her three cats. Her children are grown, but live nearby so she gets to enjoy her two wonderful grandchildren. Ms. Andi is a happy addition to our staff who works hard to create a fun environment for learning.
Ms. Tina Kelly

& Curriculum Coordinator
Ms. Tina has been a Lead Teacher in the 4 year old class for over 5 years. In 2012 she moved to Waxhaw, NC from Northern Virginia with her husband Bob, and daughters Kayla and Mary. Ms. Tina obtained her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education, earned credentials in Early Childhood, and has over 28 years of experience teaching 2's through Kindergarten. She was a Director for 6 years, where she worked with children from 8 weeks to 12 years old on a daily basis. As the Curriculum Coordinator, she has developed a 3-year curriculum based on NC Foundations of Learning, with Zoo-Phonics and weekly themes. Ms. Tina enjoys gardening, traveling, going to music concerts, and camping with family.

Ms. Angie is a graduate of Florida State University with a degree in Interior Design. She is married, and has two teenaged sons. She loves dogs, reading, hiking, and photography. Ms. Angie retired from design with the birth of her youngest son and spent almost 15 years volunteering within UCPS, specifically with the EC/TTA programs, as well as tutoring and volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America. Upon deciding to return to work, My First School was a natural fit, as her love is with preschool age children.
Ms. Courtney, in 2003, began her career with UCPS and left after 13 years of service to raise her own growing family. She is a dedicated mom of four kids, 2 girls and 2 boys, who all were/are students at My First School. Ms. Courtney ran a small in-home daycare for 2s and 3s and loved it! She loves hands-on learning and strives to bring that passion to the classroom. She loves being outdoors, camping, baking, and spending time with her family.
