Simply, helping your child succeed is our primary goal.
Reaching this goal encapsulates many things. Several core items being - a solid foundational curriculum, confident teachers, a secure environment, loving arms and an open relationship with our parents. My First School encourages you to be an active part of your child's education. Involved parents play a huge role in the success of their child's educational career. Statement of Faith
MFS is non-denominational Christian preschool. MFS's staff believes
1) that children are a gift from God;
2) that each child is created uniquely and deserves respect; and
3) that each child should be given the opportunity to learn in a safe environment.
• We believe the entire Bible from Genesis through Revelations is the verbally inspired and infallible Word of God.
• We believe the Bible to be the only proper basis for our educational philosophy and an indispensable part of every class and subject.
• We believe that God ordained the family as the basic unit of society. My First School serves as an extension of this family unit.
• We believe that each child is fearfully and wonderfully made by the hands of God.
• It is our desire that each student come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and be academically equipped to meet each challenge in life.
Our History
My First School is part of the Ms. Dee Dee's family. Our owners are a husband and wife team, Diana DeTomaso for after school and Mark DeTomaso for preschool. My First School is going into its 5th year this fall. We are very excited about our growth over the past 5 years. In our first 2 years we only provided a preK/4 year-old program, with one class of 12 students. In our third year we evolved into a full preschool program with double the students. This fall we will be offering one 2 year old class, two 3 year old classes, and two 4 year old classes with more than 70 students. Plans for expansion are in the works.
